Art/Handicraft: make clay candle holders and decorate with nature items in the clay. make a beeswax candle to put in candle holder

Science: Discuss harvest moon and make an observation wheel for the moon from a year of handicrafts. Bulbs are ready to be planted now for the spring so hand out spring bulbs for the children to take home and plant as their autumn equinox gift

Circle Time/Book: Eat harvest moon cookies and discuss why equinoxes occur (science throught nature p. 43)

Nature Walk: Take a walk and try to find shapes in nature that look like the shape of different moon phases, and identify which phase of the moon it looks like.
