Welcome to Sno. Co. Wild Learners!

We are an outdoor co-op based out of Snohomish County dedicated to fostering children’s’ love for the outdoors and their natural tendencies towards exploration, curiosity, and learning. We meet September through June, every Wednesday, for a curriculum day where our children will be exposed to topics through play, science, art, engineering, imagination, geography, culture, and skill building. Topics covered during this day will be seasonal, meaning we will foster the natural flow of the seasons in our topics and activities.

We have field trips and other outdoor trips planned throughout the month for families to also choose from. We also offer a monthly book club for our children, as well as evenings for our parents to gather to discuss and connect.

We meet throughout Snohomish County in a variety of parks. We frequent a few specific parks that provide different environments for our children to explore with different prompts and missions. We believe continual exposure of the same environment helps kids to cultivate a relationship with their environment and learn to interact in many ways with it.

100% Outdoors

We meet outdoors for our curriculum rain or shine. Majority of our field trips and other activities will also occur outdoors, with some occurring indoors like museum trips. A variety of outdoor opportunities will be provided for families to choose from such as park meet ups, hikes, and outdoor adventuring around the surrounding areas.

Parent/ Caregiver Participation

We expect 100% parent or caregiver participation. Parents are caregivers are expected to stay with the child through the entirety of the time spent together as a group.

Community

As a co-op, we want to see our kids grow together. Many of our kids are at a very young age and/or families have children of varying ages that may not have other activities where all can be involved. We encourage families with younger kids or families with kids of varying ages to join. We purposely choose curriculum that is family style and activities that can be completed by various ages, at different levels of difficulty, to address the different capabilities that come with different ages.
